Hi Sam,

it's not easy to tell with 100% confidence but my guess would be something to do with the deformer combined with hypernurbs. Hypernurbs effectively take existing polygons and avergae them out into the smoothest form they can. This can sometimes throw up issue like you are having.

You could try adding a new edge loop just above where the head becomes longer and one just below. Basically use the knife tool, on loop mode and cut once either side of the first edge that extends the back of the head out.

If that doesn't help, or I haven't been clear enough feel free to email me your scene file and I'll record a little video to explain what I mean and get you back on the right path.

	All the best

	Rob

	Hi,

I purchased the MILG8-9 Bundle and am currently at the beginning stages of modeling the robot. When creating the bevel that wraps around the side of the robot, I ran into an issue, shown in the photo below.

	http://i1194.photobucket.com/albums/aa367/BossJacoby/modeling.png

As you can see, towards the back of the head the line spikes. Also, there is no natural hill. I believe this has to do with the uniqueness of the deformers (taper) but is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

Hi, I'd just like to say I really like this product, especially the Material preset, it rules!

But I built this awsome simple animation (close to the Crash08 preset) with reflections/reflective sky, 3 point lighting, a camera dolly and it ended taking 90 minutes to render 5 seconds. So i went back and deleted reflections/reflective sky, the 3 point lighting and it's still taking quite a long time to render (40 minutes for 7 seconds). Am I missing some setting inside the Movietype expressions or controls that is still causing this?

HDTV 1920x1080 AA Best Still Image (These are normal settings for me that work quite fast w/o AO, area lights, shadows and reflections.)

	Cinmea 4d Studio12

	HP Z800

	12G RAM

	intelXeon X5670 @ 2.93 (2processors)

Hope that's enough info. Thanks for your help, love the product.

	Hi Richard,

If only you were in Sydney! I have the original Atomic Power manual that walks through all of the original Atomic Power effects, one of which was Shatter, in detail. I also have the original VHS training tapes recorded by Shatter creator Brian Maffitt.

Online I've done the Batman walkthrough which touches on some of the parameters and Lloyd Alvarez did a great disintergration tutorial on AETuts. I'll keep my eyes pealed for more.

	Hello all,

Is is possible to bounce particles down stairs using Trapcode Particular? I know how to use the bounce feature and all but my main problem is just being able to use more than one floor object. I was thinking a floor object for each stair, but obviously can only set one floor object in Particular. I tired setting up a few plains staggered in space and precoming them but no luck. Thoughts?

At 0:20 theres like this blue textured looking flare, but theres no way this was done cg. The moving looks real and the textures are so real. Any way to recreate this or is there any lens flare footage out there that already have this effect? Thanks in advance.

Ps, im also not really sure how how they made that moving border/frame around the video, theres no way they maked twitch or something like that.

	Hi John,

I really appreciate the comments, thank you for taking the time to have a look. I will certainly work on making it less repetetive as it is something I am aware of and dissappointed about. The framing is also something that should be looked at on future projects. The side view was filmed by a talented costudent, and so I will let him know his shots are well recieved :)

Anyway, hope all is well with your work and so on. Love the new look website.

	Thank again,

	Best,

	Hi Alex,

I would love to see more variation in your shot choices and also some more interesting angles. As far as the edit, the shots are similar in length and you move from one person to the other and back again which becomes repetitive. The lead singer is the most dynamic on stage and that helps those shots... the backup singer isn't anywhere near as animated and including a lot of similarly framed shots of her makes the piece feel dull and repetitive. The best shots of her are where you pan from her to the lead singer plus when she starts clapping. I particularly like the side profile shot of here clapping where you can see the lead as well.

At around 2.19 the framing of the lead is a little low and you cut to a centred frontal shot of the backup singer... these shots could be framed better...

If you'd like to discuss it more let me know.

	Best wishes,

	John.

	Hey all,

I have just finished a college project and I would really like some input on the style. I managed all cinematographic and post production areas, so any criticism or advise on any aspect of the filming would be fantastic. If you like the video then please do post that too, it would be great to get some good feedback. Do excuse the p-i-p effects in the middle, the client did ask for that.

Please do post responses here and not on the video itself, as it is the client's own upload.

Looking forward to hearing from you all : )
